This work is part of a series of four, three of which are illustrated on the cover of the monograph, Reynald Piché, published in 1982.
Reynald Piché is a Quebec painter and sculptor. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts de Montréal and obtained his Master's degree in the teaching of plastic arts in 1962.
From 1966 to 1985, he exhibited his works approximately every two years; 1966 and 1968 at the Galerie Libre in Montreal, then later in various exhibition places in Montreal, Trois-Rivières, Drummondville, Sherbrooke etc.
He exhibited in Paris in 1974 and 1975 and participated in the Bale Fair twice in the late 1970s.
He produced several works within the framework of the 1% policy, notably at the Polytechnic School, the Amos Courthouse and the Suroit Hospital.
His work has been exploratory: oil on canvas, acrylic, mixed media on paper, hydrography, aluchromy, collage, digital graphic research, pastel etc.
He has also created several sculptures, including two monumental ones, on the Avenue du Centenaire in Salaberry de Valleyfield in collaboration with artist Denis Poirier.
